During the 25 years of Armenia’s Independence “Made in Armenia 2016” largest exhibition of products will be held on September 19-22. The Armenian production companies of various sectors will have a chance to be presented to the Armenian consumers, to establish ties with other companies in the market, as well as with foreign businessmen and investors, says Director for Exports of Armenia Development Fund Hayk Mirzoyan. He said up to September 1 the number of companies who want to take part in the exhibition is more than 300, but they had to limit the list of applications due to place limitations. “This year the exhibition is being held within the framework of the 25th anniversary of Armenia’s Independence, this is perhaps the largest exhibition within 25 years. Over 300 companies have already expressed a wish to participate, including also 15 companies from Nagorno Karabakh”, he said. The opening ceremony of “Made in Armenia 2016” exhibition is scheduled on September 19 in Meridian center. The next day a conference entitled “Armenia as a bridge to large markets” will be held with the participation of the representatives of the EAEU states, high ranking officials and businessmen from Iran. On September 22 a fashion exhibition is expected to be held during which companies, as well as individual designers will show their works. Hayk Mirzoyan said a number of industrial sectors are taking part in the exhibition, including also the services field. The organizers have tried not to miss such productions which exist in Armenia. “All sectors actively participate, but it depends also on the number of the existing companies operating in that sector in our country. One of our key trends is food industry, beverage production: this, perhaps, is the largest share”, he said. He informed that more than 1000 invitations were sent to the officials and businessmen of various states. “We expect delegations’ visits from different states. We will have guests from the EAEU states, Iraq, France, the US. We still wait for confirmations by the other states”, he said. “These exhibitions are important for the domestic producers to recognize each other, as well as in terms of consumers. We are planning to make unpaid transportation for visitors from the Republican Square to the exhibition center and vice versa”, he said. “We have a very quality product, we want the Armenian consumers to transfer their attention from what has been imported to the Armenian production”, Hayk Mirzoyan said. To the view that many Armenian products are expensive compared to others offered by the market, he said: “I don’t think the Armenian production is expensive. If we compare it with the low quality product, it is expensive, but it is quite cheap compared to the same production quality standards”, Hayk Mirzoyan said.
