ARMAVIR, ETCHMIADZIN, NOVEMBER 16, NOYAN TAPAN. A mine was found on November 13 near the village of Arshaluys (Armavir marz), about 300 meters from the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP). As the Information and PR Unit of the Rescue Service of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations reported, officials of the Armavir regional rescue service, the regional police, and the ANPP, also policemen of Metsamor arrived at the scene at 6:40 pm. The RA Ministry of Defence and the National Security Service were informed about the incident. At 8:15 pm the mine clearing group of the Ministry of Defence carried the mine to a safe place and disarmed it.
