Today, on April 28th, by the initiative of the party «Free Georgia» with support of the Assembly of Tbilisi Armenians, in the building of Tbilisi City Assembly (Sakrebulo) the special session devoted to the tragic events of 1915 in Ottoman Empire was held. The session was attended by members of the City Assembly, representatives of Armenian organizations of Tbilisi and diplomatic corps accredited in Georgia, reported the Press-service of the Assembly of Tbilisi Armenians. During the session, the documentary by German director Eric Fridler "Aghet" telling about the Genocide of Armenians was screened. The film is based on the documents and materials stored in archives of the USA and European countries. Unfortunately, according to the instructions provided by the head of staff of the City Assembly, Mrs.Marina Datukishvili, representatives of the Georgian and foreign mass-media were not admitted to the event. In this regard, tomorrow, on April 29th, at 12.00 pm, at the central entrance of Tbilisi City Assembly, the briefing will be organized during which the special statement will be made.
