YEREVAN, JULY 16, NOYAN TAPAN. At the July 16 sitting, the Armenian government adopted the draft on regulating the procedure of the open publication of topographic maps and plans in the WGS-84 system. Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of RA Real Estate Cadastre Ashot Musayan said following the sitting that the purpose of the World Geodetic System 1984 (WGS-84) is to supply various spheres of economy with maps and plans open for use. It was mentioned that the WGS-84, which was introduced in Armenia in 2002, is open for use by all bodies. Thanks to its introduction, Armenia has been included in the European geodetic system's network.
