Dear Colleagues,

"Yeremyan Projects" Culinary Arts and Hospitality Academy will open its doors in the spring of this year. On January 14 and 15, in the scope of the cooperative visit to Armenia, International Educational Group Director of the "Activate Learning-City of Oxford College" Niko Phillips, learned about the range of activities of "Yeremyan Projects", visited the company's "Tavern Yerevan" restaurant chain, "Lavash" and "Sherep" restaurants, "Artsakh" factory, met with the team of the "Culinary Arts and Hospitality Academy", got acquainted with the architectural plan of "Yeremyan" academy, ongoing construction works.

Within the framework of the visit, the team of the "Culinary Arts and Hospitality Academy" and Niko Phillips had meetings in the Ministry of Education and Science of the RA, National Training Fund and Yerevan Regional State College N2. Fundamental issues related to vocational education, professional orientation, capacity development and the need to establish a culinary arts and hospitality academy were discussed with the educational policy makers.

"Yeremyan Projects" general director David Yeremyan and International Educational Group Director of the "Activate Learning-City of Oxford College" Niko Phillips discussed prospects of further cooperation.

Speaking about the goals and activities of the "Yeremyan Culinary Arts and Hospitality Academy", “Yeremyan Projects” General Director David Yeremyan said:
"In the beginning of 2017, we took an experimental step by establishing a small culinary school and passing all the knowledge and experience acquired from culinary and service fields to our students. And I must note that we have achieved impressive results. We were convinced that today a culinary school is a necessity where cooks, service staff will get theoretical knowledge and the opportunity put it into practice. Providing young people with professional orientation and education, we will be able to develop restaurant business culture, create competent and professional staff that will be able to step in for work both in Yerevan, or in other parts of the country, as well as in the HoReCa sector of overseas companies”.

David Yeremyan mentioned: "We have got wonderful youth who are prudent, free from complexes, initiative, willing to learn and adapt to the new. The only thing we need to do is to guide them and give correct professional orientation”.

On January 15, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the UK's Activate Learning-City of Oxford College and "Yeremyan Projects", which marked the start of cooperation between the two organizations. Pursuant to the Memorandum of Understanding, Activate Learning-City of Oxford College becomes an exclusive partner of the "Yeremyan Culinary Arts and Hospitality Academy" in Armenia, as a result of which the Academy's educational programs will be developed and implemented cooperatively as well as they will develop the efficacy of the academic personnel and will provide both tutors and students with academic mobility.

At this moment, renovation and furnishing works are being carried out on the territory of "Yeremyan Culinary Academy". It will open its doors in spring 2019.
