On May 27, the Armenian Assembly NGO began hosting Armenian Culture Days in Moscow

The Armenian Assembly non-governmental organization, with the participation and support of the Embassy of Armenia in Russia, as well as the Russian and New Nakhichevan Diocese of Armenian Apostolic Church, will hold Armenian Culture Days in Moscow from May 27 to June 1, 2019.
The opening of the Days of Armenian Culture in Moscow was marked at the Concert Hall of Moscow State Conservatory after P. I. Tchaikovsky, with the jubilee concert of Tigran Mansuryan, who turned 80 this year. Tigran Mansuryan, the famous Armenian composer, works in various musical genres and is the author of favorite music compositions of different films.
The participants of the concert were the Chamber Orchestra “Music Viva” conducted by Alexander Rubin, Tula State Choir conducted by Alexander Solovyov, vocal ensemble “Questa musica”, as well as famous musicians Sergey Poltavsky (alto), Pavel Dombrovsky (piano), Mariam Avtisyan (soprano).
Among the honorable guests of the concert were members of the Women’s Initiatives Committee of Armenian Assembly Irina Pochitaeva, Yelena Tsaturova, Armine Kazaryan, member of the IT and Science Committee Sergey Azatyan, entrepreneur from Lebanon, owner of international restaurants “Mayrig” Aline Kamakian and the representatives of the gastronomy sector invited to GOURMET FEST, together with other participants of the Days of Armenian Culture from Armenia and other countries.
Within the framework of Armenian Culture Days in Moscow, the following events are planned:
May 28, 2019 at 18:00 – Board meeting of the Presidium of the Armenian Assembly. The participants of the meeting will summarize the annual results of Armenian Assembly’s activity for the year 2018-2019 and will discuss plans and tasks for 2019-2020, namely, the development of the touristic portal Armenia Guide and unified portal for Armenian Apostolic Church, the launch of the massive gastronomic project GOURMET FEST in Armenia, opening of regional educational centers and other initiatives in the spheres of culture, innovative technologies and sports.
May 28, 2019 at 19:00 – unique gastronomic evening GOURMET FEST. For the first time, under the direction of two famous chef cooks from Michelin Star restaurants Karen Torosyan (Bozar Restaurant, Brussels, Belgium) and Stefano Ciotti (Nostrano Restaurant, Pesaro, Italy), in cooperation with the chefs of leading restaurants in Armenia (Chinar, The Club, Lavash), a special menu will be conceptualized which will represent a unique fusion of Armenian traditional and Haute cuisines, on the basis of Armenian culinary traditions and techniques of European cuisine.
May 29, 2019 – Meeting of Innovative Technologies and Science Committee of Armenian Assembly. The members of the committee will discuss social entrepreneurship and scientific projects in the spheres of IT that will contribute to the preservation of national identity, culture, language, strengthening of communities and development of tourism in Armenia. During the meeting, leading representatives of the spheres of IT and science, Sergey Azatyan, Emin Antonyan, Karen Mirzoyan, Stepan Chitipakhovyan, Samvel Lazaryan and Nobel Arustamyan will distinguish the priority projects for Armenian Assembly for 2019-2020.
May 30, at 18:00 – opening ceremony of the Consular Section of the Embassy of RA in RF, reconstructed in honor of the 300-th anniversary of the dynasty of Lazarevs. The opening of the Consular Section will be attended by the Ambassador of RA in RF Vardan Toganyan, Consul RA in RF Ara Mnatsakanyan, as well as members of Armenian Assembly.
June 1 – Closing ceremony of Armenian Culture Days in Moscow with a screening of cartoons of Armenian animation producers based on Hovhannes Tumanyan’s tales at the State Tretyakov Gallery organized by the Embassy of RA in RF and dedicated to International Children’s Day.
Armenian Assembly and the organizers of Days of Armenian Culture in Moscow hope that these events will become a platform for the establishment of strong ties among the representatives of the Armenian diaspora, as well as with successful and honorable people outside the diaspora, and will contribute to the creation of a higher image of Armenia, preservation of the national identity, popularization of its centuries-long culture and ancient language.
Armenian Assembly – a non-profitable organization that is aimed at supporting educational, cultural, IT and corporate initiatives in Armenia and in the diaspora.
During the first year of active work, the Armenian Assembly launched and supported cultural, educational, religious- enlightenment, touristic and other projects.
