YEREVAN, APRIL 15, NOYAN TAPAN. The problem of crimes on the ground of inter-ethnic hatred is topical for Russia. RF Minister of Internal Affairs Rashid Nurgaliyev stated at the press conference held after the meeting of CSTO Police and Ministries of Internal Affairs heads held on April 15 in Yerevan. In his words, a large network of extremist groups has been disclosed in the last months in Russia. There are also cases with the signs of infringements upon life and health of citizens. The Minister also said that the RF Department on Fighting Organized Crimes of Ministry of Internal Affairs was requalified into a Department on Fighting Extremism, which is engaged in issues of inter-ethnic, inter-confessional, youth extremism and in some cases also in the problem of inter-ethnic hatred.
