Armenian players win first match of France-Armenia chess
tournament with score of 9.5-6.5

PARIS, JUNE 25, NOYAN TAPAN. A tournament of the men's
teams of France and Armenia started in Paris on June 24 on the
initiative of the chess federations of two countries. 15
minutes plus 10 seconds after each move was given for each
game. The Armenian team composed of Levon Aronian, Vladimir
Hakobian, Gabriel Sargsyan and Tigran Petrosian won (9.5-6.5).
The members of the French team are: Maxim-Vachier Lagrave,
Laurent Fressinet, Joel Lautier and Christian Bauer.
The teams will play against each other again on June 25.
