The film tells about the period when Kevorkian built his ‘Mercy killing Machine’ for conducting his first assisted suicide. Confirmed proponent of physician assisted death, Jack Kevorkian had euthanasia, or mercy killing, legalized. In 1990-98, he assisted in 130 cases of suicide.
Charges were brought against him in 1999 and Kevorkian was sentenced to 8 years in prison, and was released in 2007 since he suffered from cancer.
At the end of 2008, Kevorkian ran for Congress elections. Having received 2.7% of votes, the doctor suffered defeat.
