YEREVAN, MARCH 25, NOYAN TAPAN. The European Union Advisory
Group has arrived in Armenia. Its goal is to provide advisory
assistance to RA state bodies and departments for implementing
the European Neighborhood Policy Actions Plan at best in the
respect of political and economic reforms. RA President Serzh
Sargsyan received the group members and Ambassador Raul de
Luzenberger, the head of the European Commission delegation in
Armenia, on March 24.
Addressing to the Advisory Group members, S. Sargsyan said:
"This program's implementation is one more evidence that the
Armenian people and authorities have a faith in our relations'
future. I think joint experience can be also useful for the
implementation of the Eastern Policy programs. We welcome the
endorsement of Eastern Partnership by the EU summit. We are sure
that there are moments favorable for Armenia here and we will
try with pleasure to implement programs useful for our country."
According to S. Sargsyan, the European Union, European
structures provide much assistance to Armenian authorities'
programs aimed at making Armenia more democratic and country's
economy more competitive. In that context he attached importance
to advisors' work and role and said that their assistance will
be of much demand and necessity.
