In the 5th round, Levon Aronian drew with Magnus Carlsen of Norway in the blindfold game and defeated him in the rapid game. L. Aronian will play against Sergei Karyakin of Ukraine in the 6th round. After the 5th round there is a "diarchy" in the tournament: L. Aronian and Kramnik share 1st-2nd positions with 6.5 points each.
