Embassy of Argentina to be opened in Yerevan

YEREVAN, MARCH 19, NOYAN TAPAN. On March 17, President of Argentina Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner signed a decree on founding Embassy of Argentina in Yerevan. Noyan Tapan was informed about it by the RA Foreign Ministry Press and Information Department. Highly assessing the current condition of Argentine-Armenian relations, the President of Argentina emphasized that the decision on opening an Embassy in Yerevan, which is by the way the first one in the South Caucasus, is evidence of "our willingness to deepen the relations with friendly Armenia." According to Vladimir Karmirshalian, the Ambassador of Armenia to Argentina, presence of Argentina's diplomatic representation in Armenia will permit to further use the two countries' possibilities to develop the relations in the political, economic, cultural, and other spheres. The RA Ambassador conveyed the President of Argentina RA President Serzh Sargsyan's invitation to pay an official visit to Armenia. The visit's terms will be coordinated through diplomatic channels.
