In 2010 high scientific level of fundamental research has been maintained in the subdivisions of the Academy of National Sciences of RA about which show 668 articles and 14 monographs of Armenian scientists published in prestigious scientific journals of foreign countries. Work has also been done in 70 international programs with 1,5 million US dollars financial volume. The Chairman of ANS of RA Radik Martirosyan mentioned about this in his report during the annual general meeting of ANS of RA on April 15. According to him 4056 men work in the system, 2439 of which are scientific workers: 66 academicians, 62 associates, 334 doctors of science and others. The average salary of employees is 59,700 AMD. It was also mentioned that the state finance of the system is 4 142 763,700 AMD, the increase in total funding is nearly 300 million AMD in 2010. The total volume of off-budget funds is 1,9 million AMD, which is the 33 per cent of the annual total funding.
