"I swear in the name of the Holy, Consubstantial, and Indivisible Trinity to observe the Constitution and the laws, to provide for the faithful observance thereof, to defend the national independence and territorial integrity of the country, to protect the rights and liberties of Greeks and to serve the public interest and the progress of the Greek People."
To the President of the Hellenic Republic, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the Hellenic Republic, Her Excellency Mrs. Katerina Sakellaropoulou, to the soldiers and officers of the Armed Forces of Greece, to the citizens of Greece, and to all Greeks around the world,
Dear compatriots!
The organization of Greeks in Armenia "Patrida," along with friends of the organization, congratulates you on the Day of the Armed Forces of Greece. The "Patrida" organization gratefully remembers and honors the contribution of Greek warriors to the immortal history of our Great Motherland!
Dear soldiers and officers!
You have chosen one of the noblest professions in the world—the defender of the Fatherland. It is a profession that shapes your character and becomes part of your soul. Those who have served in the army have felt and experienced these emotions and carried them throughout their lives. Greek warriors, led by great commanders, did not bring calamity and destruction on their campaigns; they brought culture and enlightenment. They were brave and magnanimous warriors, worthy of admiration, revered by the entire world, even by their enemies. Wherever Greek warriors appeared, civilization penetrated, and great empires arose after their departure.
Without Greece, there would be no Europe. Greece is Europe. You stand today on the front lines of defense for Europe and European civilization. And finally, you valiant warriors of Greece stand steadfastly and fearlessly to protect the safety of our state and our people.
On this day, we pay tribute to the strong and courageous individuals who have dedicated themselves to military service. You uphold the independence and national interests of our Motherland every day, and even now, on this festive day, you maintain combat duty in the units and divisions of our Armed Forces.
Our army has long been distinguished by its combat power and the professional training of its personnel, patriotism, military brotherhood, and the unyielding will of soldiers and officers. The great victories of the heroic sons and daughters of Hellenism, who fulfilled their duty and defended the country from enemies, will forever remain in our memory. We are confident that the unity of the army and the people is the strength and great glory of Hellenism. This is more relevant today than ever.
The Day of the Armed Forces is a holiday not only for the military but for all men and women working for the benefit of their country, living for its interests, and ready at any moment to stand up for the Fatherland.
We are a peaceful people, but if we are forced, we will not only defend the Motherland but will also be relentless against the enemy, both on our territory and from wherever a threat to our national security may arise.
May your shields and swords always be at the ready, your hands that hold them strong, your hearts courageous, and your character steadfast and merciless towards foes! We wish you robust health, good spirits, calmness, devoted comrades in arms, and loving family members at home. You are our heroes! Thank you for being with us!
From the bottom of my heart, I wish all defenders of the Fatherland health and prosperity! May this holiday always be peaceful and joyful, may the glory of the victories of the Greek army, the strength and might of arms, and the love and devotion to your Motherland always illuminate our lives.
Chairman of the Organization of Greeks in the Republic of Armenia "Patrida"
