BILBAO, SEPTEMBER 9, NOYAN TAPAN. In the 6th round of Grand
Slam Chess Tournament held in Bilbao (Spain) on September 8,
Armenian chess player Levon Aronian with black pieces lost to
Magnus Carlsen of Norway. The games: Veselin Topalov (Bulgaria)
- Temur Rajabov (Azerbaijan) and Vasily Ivanchuk (Ukraine) -
Viswanathan Anand (India) ended in draws.
M. Carlsen with 11 points is in lead of the points table.
He is followed by V. Topalov - 10 points, L. Aronian - 6 points,
V. Ivanchuk, V. Anand and T. Rajabov who have 5 points each.
L. Aronian plays aganist V. Topalov in the 7th round on
September 9.
