20 GRADUATES OF SYNOPSYS-MSIET EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM RECEIVE
MASTER'S DEGREES

MOSCOW, JUNE 7, NOYAN TAPAN. The ceremony of granting
master's degrees and certificates to the first 20 graduates of
the joint educational program of Synopsys company, a world
leader in electronic design automation, and the Moscow State
Institute of Electronic Technology (MSIEC) was held on June 5.
According to information reported from Moscow by PR officer
of Synopsys Armenia CJSC - Armenian subsidiary of Synopsys, Vice
President of Strategic Market Development at Synosys, CEO of
Synopsys Armenia Rich Goldman and the Rector of MSIET Yuri
Chaplygin handed graduation certificates to the graduates.
The sides started cooperating in 2006 when with the
assistance of Synopsys, MSIET developed a master's program in
microelectronics with the use of instruments and educational
programs of the company. Classes are conducted in Synopsys-MSIET
educational center. MSIET received 20 licensed packages of
Synopsys' electronic design automation software. The teaching
staff includes leading experts of Synopsys and MSIET lecturers.
"The program marks the beginning of development of the
integral chip design in Russia. We together with our partner are
proud of the first 20 graduates," Rich Goldman said. He added
that these graduates will help Russia pave the way for further
development of technologies.
"Our institute offers a wide range of programs to prepare
specialists in information technologies and electronics. The
graduation of the first group of Masters of Synopsys'
educational program at MSIET is the result of joint efforts of
the international group, thanks to which each participant has
gained much experience. I am sure that our educational activity
is important not only for development of high-tech industry in
Russia but also for strengthening the partnership and relations
of our countries," Y. Chaplygin said.
