YEREVAN, APRIL 12, NOYAN TAPAN. Over 80 companies from Armenia, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Italy, the UK, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Poland, Germany, the UAE, Iran and Nagorno Karabakh are participating in the 5th international exhibition "Construction and Repair EXPO 2008". The chairman of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia Arsen Ghazarian said at the opening ceremony that the construction sector is the most rapidly developing branch of the Armenian economy. "Armenia has some ambitious program on keeping the construction culture at a high level. Armenian builders and building material manufacturers have founded enterprises in neighboring countries and teach our neighbors to work, ensuring European quality in construction," he stated. In the words of the director of the Armenian Development Agency Tigran Davtian, the assortment displayed at exhibitions is increasing year by year, the number of local and foreign participants has also grown. "Construction and Repair EXPO 2008" was organized by LOGOS EXPO Center company, with the official assistance of the RA ministry of trade and economic development, the RA ministry of urban development, the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia, te union of Architects, the Union of Builders, Yerevan mayor's office, and the Armenian Development Agency. The exhibition has the following sections: Construction Technologies, Ceramics and Stones, Wall and Ceiling Decor, World of Light, Coverings and Insulators, Heating and Air Conditioning Systems, Lacquers and Paints, Doors and Windows, Floor Coverings, Commercial Real Estate, Interior and Exterior Design, Stained-Glass Windows, Furniture and Accessories, Design, Swimming Pools, and Sanitaryware Items.
