YEREVAN, APRIL 8, NOYAN TAPAN. The Armenian Boxing Youth Championship was held on April 1-7 in Vanadzor. 141 delegates from 9 towns took part in it. The Syunik, Vayots Dzor, and Aragatsotn regions had no representatives. 9 sportsmen from Yerevan, 2 from Gyumri, 1 from Abovian and 1 from Vanadzor became winners in 13 weight categories. Honored coach Fedya Alexanian, the senior coach of the Armenian youth national team, informed Noyan Tapan correspondent that representatives of 46-63 kg weight categories distinguished themselves with a good technical preparedness. According to the coach, the Armenian boxing national team has been formed in consideration of the process of all fights. The national team will take part in the Europe Youth Championship to take place in June in Bulgaria.
