CONSTRUCTION AND IMPROVEMENT WORK OF OVER 7 BILLION DRAMS

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 15, NOYAN TAPAN. Construction and
improvement work of 7.2 bln drams (about 21.1 mln USD) was done
in Yerevan in January-September 2007. The head of the
construction, improvement and municipal economy department of
the Yerevan municipality Frunz Basentsian said at the October 15
press conference that reinforcement of 6 accident-prone
buildings of 3rd degree was completed, and reinforcement of
another two buildings will finish by November 15-20.
According to him, during the first nine months of this
year, the exterior lighting networks of 65 streets were repaired
and new irrigation networks of the total length of 7.5 km were
constructed in Shengavit and Ajapniak communities. Asphaltic
concrete pavements of 420 thousand square meters were repaired
and 130 thousand square meters were laid with asphalt in the
indicated period. Major repairs of Arstakh and Azatutyan Avenues
will be completed by late November.
