YEREVAN, OCTOBER 1, NOYAN TAPAN. Events dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the International Union of Armenian Women NGO will be held on October 2-7 in Armenia. In particular, an event on the subject "Everything for Children" will be held on October 2 at Yerevan's Town Center of Children's Creation, "Let Us Sit at a Table at Least with Three Sons" on October 4 in Gavar, "Armenian Women without Cigarette" on October 5 in Yerevan. Besides, during the week the members of the Union will visit famous Armenian women, the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, a tree planting will be organized in the territory of the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex. Hranush Hakobian, the Chairwoman of the International Union of Armenian Women NGO, an RA MP, mentioned at the October 1 press conference that the organization is a bridge contributing to disclosure of Armenian women's potential, strengthening Armenia-Diaspora contacts. According to her, hundreds of women of scientific, educational, cultural, and other spheres join the organization with pleasure. H. Hakobian said that the organization implements educational, healthcare, environmental programs. The International Union of Armenian Women was created in 1991 in the American city of Boston and started to work in Yerevan since 1992. At present it has branches in the Armenian regions, in Moscow, in Saint Petersburg, in NKR, in Poland.
