YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 28, NOYAN TAPAN. The prosecutor's office
investigating the case of Levon Gulian, who died in the criminal
investigation department of the RA police under unknown
circumstances, has not so far received the original of European
experts' conclusion on forensic examination of L. Gulian's body,
spokeswoman for the RA prosecutor general Sona Truzian said
during a talk with NT correspondent on September 28. According
to her, the experts were invited to Yerevan with the assistance
of the OSCE so the investigative body has applied several times
to the OSCE Armenia Office in anticipation of receiving this
document but to no avail. S. Truzian said that the experts were
informed about the Armenian law's requirement, according to
which only the original of a signed and certified document can
be used as evidence.
To recap, the prosecutor's office has extended the
investigation into L. Gulian's case for two months.
