LEVON ARONIAN DEFEATS ALEXANDRE GRISHCHUK AT TENTH STAGE OF
WORLD CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP

MEXICO, SEPTEMBER 25, NOYAN TAPAN. The games of the tenth
stage were held on September 24 in the final tournament of the
World Chess Championship held in Mexico. The Armenian grand
master Levon Aronian defeated Alexandre Grishchuk (Russia) with
the whites. The Kramnik - Anand, Gelfand - Leko, and Svidler
Morozevich games ended in a draw.
Anand is in the lead with 6.5 points after 10 stages.
Gelfand has 5.5, Kramnik, Leko, and Aronian 5, Grishchuk and
Morozevich 4.5, Svidler 4 points each. Levon Aronian will
compete with Peter Leko (Hungary) with the blacks in the 11th
game.
