YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 12, NOYAN TAPAN. The name of the company to construct the steam and gas turbine of Yerevan Thermal Power Plant (TPP) will be announced in late September, NT correspondent was informed by the director of Yerevan TPP Hovakim Hovhannisian. He said that 15 bln 917 mln yens (about 150 mln USD) has been allocated by the Japanese government for construction of the turbine. According to our information, such companies as Mitsui (Japan) and GS (South Korea), as well as the consortiums of Alstom and Siemens companies (Germany), and Samsung (South Korea) and Sumitomo (Japan) have submitted their bids for participation in the tender. It is planned to finish the construction of the turbine in September 2009.
