YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 5, NOYAN TAPAN. By acquiring BMED - a
franchise company of British Airways, BMI, which is the second
largest airline operating at London's Heathrow Airport, will
enter the Armenian market. According to a press release
submitted to NT, as a result of this deal, BMI will become the
only British airline to operate flights between Armenia and the
UK.
At present the airline operates about 170 flights daily
from Heathrow Airport and is a member of Star Alliance - the
world's biggest aviation alliance.
