NUMBER OF VIRAL HEPATITIS CASES GROWS BY 233 IN ARMENIA IN

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 21, NOYAN TAPAN. In 2006, 26 cases of
contagious diseases were registered in Armenia. According to the
RA Ministry of Health, last year 2 cases of whooping cough, 282
cases of salmonellosis, 1,216 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis
were registered, which is less by 4, 11 and 71 cases
respectively compared with the previous year.
In 2006, 982 cases of viral hepatitis and 5,330 cases of
acute intestinal diseases were registerd in Armenia, which is
more by 233 and 587 cases respectively compared with the
previous year.
