YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 20, NOYAN TAPAN. At the February 20 special sitting, the RA National Assembly adopted in first reading the package of amendments and additions in the RA Criminal Procedure Code and several laws, which is conditioned by the necessity to bring the RA Criminal Procedure Code and these laws into line with the RA Constitution. The purpose of the proposed amendments and additions is to clarify the powers of the RA Court of Appeal, improve the quality of complaints filed to the RA Cassation Court through introduction of the institution of lawyers accredited at the RA Cassation Court and the institution of court sanctions, as well as through introduction of the new order of appealing against interim court acts.
