On July 13, in the frames of the 8th “Golden Apricot” Yerevan International film festival the Armenian director, producer Roman Balayan presented his films during the press conference.
This year the festival includes 3 jubilee programs, one of which is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Roman Balayan. In the frames of "Golden Apricot" festival, "Lone wolf" (1977), " Flights in Dreams and in Reality " (1982), "Kiss "(1983)," Save me, my talisman"(1987), and"The night in Parajanov’s museum"(1998) films will be shown. In 1987 “Flights in Dreams and in Reality" was awarded with the USSR State Prize.
The director presented some scenes from his professional life, told funny stories. “Armenian films need comedy. I look at the actors and see genocide on their faces,” noted R. Balayan.
Let’s note that the Armenian director was born in 1941 in Nagorno-Karabakh. In 1969 he graduated from Kiev Theatre Institute. From that time he has been lived and worked in Kiev and Moscow.
