On June 8-9, the usual sitting of the Ministry of Home Affairs of Russian Federation and the United colleague of RA police took place in Astrakhan city. A delegation, headed by Colonel-Lieutenant Alik Sargsyan, chef of the Republic of Armenia Police, took part in the sitting. The following questions were in the agenda: “The condition of mutual cooperation of RF Ministry of Home Affairs and the United colleague of RA police for crime investigation and exchange of information on the discovery of the crime” and “The working plan project of RF MHA and the United colleague of RA police”. Rashid Nurgaliyev, Russian Minister of Home Affairs noted that due to the effective exchange of information between Russia and Armenia, 250 persons were arrested due to the materials given by the Armenian law bodies and in Russia and 175 suspects and defendants were arrested due to the information given by the Russian side in Armenia from January to March of 2010. RA Police Chief Alik Sargsyan for his part said that to give the information exchange a systemic nature of various international databases are formed the most important of which is the CIS Interstate Information Bank. There are also ways of Interpol Information. It was noted at the sitting of the United colleague that the system of the exchange of information is constantly improving. After the meeting the heads of the delegations met journalists. The participants of the United colleague were present at the shown exercises of the special-purpose detachment against terrorism, visited the historical and cultural places n Astrakhan.
