REGIONAL CONFERENCE ON PROBLEMS OF THE MISSING TO BE HELD
ON NOVEMBER 24-25 IN VANADZOR

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 23, NOYAN TAPAN. Regional conference
on the subject "Problems of the Missing in the South Caucasus"
will take place on November 24-25 in Vanadzor.
According to the report submitted to Noyan Tapan from
the Vanadzor Office of the Helsinki Civil Assembly, during the
conference, the human rights activists of Azerbaijan, Georgia
and Armenia will present the results of the work done within the
framework of the Yellow Tulips program, problems in the issue of
searching for information about the location and fate of the
missing. At the conference, it is planned to work out the
following documents: address to state governmenal and
international structures on problems of the missing, proposals
on Council of Europe representative's report on problems of
the missing.
The Helsinki Civil Assembly has been implementing joint
programs with Assembly's South Caucasian network's organizations
in the direction of peacekeeping activity, solving problems of
the missing since 2001. It is the third year the Yellow Tulips
program is implemented by Azerbaijani and Georgian National
Committees of Helsinki Civil Assembly, by NKR Helsinki
Initiative-92 organizations with the assistance of the
Interchurch Peace Council.
