AMMUNITION SEIZED AT HOME OF EMPLOYEE OF FILLING STATION

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 10, NOYAN TAPAN. In connection with the
act of hooliganism committed with the use of arms in the village
of Hayanist (Ararat marz), the police conducted a search in the
house of Derenik Nersisian, 22, employee of a gas filling point
owned by the RA National Assembly deputy Hakob Hakobian.
According to a press release submitted to NT by the RA
Police PR and Information Department, a magazine of a Makarov
pistol, fifteen 9 mm-calibre bullets, and a smoking 27.5 cm-long
thing in the shape of a tube with the diameter of 4.5 cm were
discovered as a result of the search. According to the
information at the RA Police website, no Makarov pistol was
found.
The seized items were sent to the police for expert
examination.
An investigation is underway.
To recap, on October 8 at about 6 pm H. Hakobian together
with his guards committed an act of hooliganism with the use of
arms combined with violence against the persons ensuring the
security of a gas distribution station who tried to prevent the
illegal use of gas at the filling points owned by the deputy.
Four persons received injuries of various degrees of
severity during the incident.
