WORLD E-CONTENT SUMMIT TO BE HELD IN YEREVAN ON OCTOBER 5-7

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 4, NOYAN TAPAN. A world e-content summit
will be held in Yerevan on October 5-7. The Armenian Information
Technologies Foundation (ITF) is the initiator and organizer of
the event. 90 guests from 35 countries and about 300
representaives of Armenia's economy and other spheres will
participate in the summit.
Garegin Chugaszian, ITF Director, stated at the October 4
press conference that the summit consists of two parts: the
Armenian Foreign Ministry and the ITF will jointly hold on
October 5-6 an all-European conference "Human Rights in the
Information Society: Support for Children and Youth". The
conference participants will present ways and means to enable
children and young people and those dealing with problems of
their education to make full use of and protect their rights.
A joint forum initiated by the ITF and the organizational
committee of the summit's e-content awards is scheduled for
October 6-7. The event will focus on issues related to
development of cultural diversity and multilingual e-content.
G. Chugaszian said that an exhibition of the best e-content
technologies will be held during the summit.
