YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 27, NOYAN TAPAN. Part of the property
(worth about 85 mln drams or 220 thousand USD) of the airline
Armenian Airways, which has been declared bankrupt, will be
auctioned on October 5. Hrant Ghambarian, Chairman of the
commission on Armenian Airways' liquidation, told during a talk
with NT correspondent that the IL-86 plane, which belongs to the
airline and is now in Moscow's Domodedovo Airport, has also been
put on sale. The sum owned to Domodedovo for keeping the plane
there has already reached about 1 mln USD. Whereas, according to
H. Ghambarian, the highest sale price makes 300 thousand USD,
and about 2.5 mln USD will be needed to restore the plane to its
operational state. He said that if the plane is not sold, it
will soon become a heap of metallic parts, which has happened to
two TU-154 planes of the airline.
To recap, the airline Express Line has bought three YAK-40
of Armenian Airways.
H. Ghambarian said that Armenian Airways' receivables
amount to 9.5 bln drams.
