YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 26, NOYAN TAPAN. Possibly, the World
Bank (WB) will not allocate funds for repairs and development of
irrigation systems in Armenia taking into account the
circumstance that rather big sums will be already allocated for
this purpose by the Millennium Challenge program. Noyan Tapan
correspondent was informed about it by Arusyak Alaverdian,
Responsible Person for Irrigation Programs of WB Yerevan Office.
He said that RA government should oriente itself, to what
sphere funds should be allocated instead, after which WB will
determine the issue of giving financing. In A.Alaverdian's
opinion, parallel with the Millennium Challenge program a
technical assistance program could be also implemented, but RA
government, in her words, "is not so willing to take credits for
technical assistance."
