YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 18, NOYAN TAPAN. The ongoing studies at the Nubarashen dump with the aim of constructing an enterprise to generate electricity from methane gas with funds of the Shimizu Corporation (Japan) will be completed in late 2006 or by January 15 of next year. Frunze Basentsian, head of the construction, improvements and utilities department of Yerevan mayor's office, stated this at the September 18 press conference. According to him, the studies will allow the determine the volume of methane gas to be obtained from the garbage accumulated during the last 20-22 years and the capacity of generators to be installed at the enterprise. In the words of F. Basentsian, it is envisaged to complete the installation of generators until November 2007.
