STEPANAKERT, FEBRUARY 14, NOYAN TAPAN. The average number of those engaged in the economy of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh made 37776 people in 2005 what is more by 3428 people or 10% compared with the previous year. As of January 1, 4398 citizens were registered at the Labour and Employment Department of the NKR Ministry of Social Security, 79.9% of who got status of unemployed. The number of citizens looking for job increased by 4.1% and the number of those unemployed by 7.2% compared with January 1, 2005. According to information submitted to Noyan Tapan by the NKR Foreign Ministry's Information-Analytical Department, the average nominal monthly salary of those engaged in the economy of the republic in 2005 made 51127 drams (about 113 U.S. dollars) what is more by 9957 drams or 24.2% compared with the previous year.
