ANKARA, JANUARY 25, NOYAN TAPAN - ARMENIANS TODAY. Turkish
Parliamentary Union (TPB) sent letters to Members of the
European Parliament (MEPs) including the photos of those Turkish
diplomats killed by ASALA (Armenian Secret Army for the
Liberation of Armenia).
As it was reported by Anatolian Times, TPB Chairman Hasan
Korkmazcan told a news conference on Monday that they sent the
information note to all members of the European Parliament (EP)
"in order to prevent the murders committed by the Armenian
terrorist organization being forgotten".
Korkmazcan said that photos of the 34 Turkish diplomats and
their relatives who were killed and 12 others who were wounded
in the attacks by ASALA that took place from 1973 to 1994, were
also attached to the information note.
"These terrorist attacks were not punished and even
tolerated in the countries where they took place. Even
parliaments of some countries approved the imaginary and false
claims of the terrorist organization by adopting resolutions.
These resolutions encouraged terrorism," Korkmazcan said.
