YEREVAN, OCTOBER 5, NOYAN TAPAN. This January-August, the average number of the economically active inhabitants of Armenia made 1213.5 thousand people 91.6% or 1111.9 thousand of who were busy in economy, And 101.6 thousand of those having no job were registered at the "RA Employment Service" of the RA Ministry of Labour and Social Issues and got a status of unemployed. According to data of the RA National Statistical Service, as of late August, 2005, 93.4% or 116.1 thousand people of 124.3 thousand ones registered at the agency were unemployed. 79.6% or 92.4 thousand people of those unemployed had the status of unemployed and 70.3% of them made women. The number of women got the status of unemployed increased by 0.5% compared with the same month of the last year. As of late August, the officially stated labour demand made 1024 people, among which 71.5% or 732 one for workers' places.
