"MANANA" CENTER PRESENTS "WORLD IN CHILDREN'S EYES"
EXHIBITION OF PHOTOGRAPHS

YEREVAN, December 15 (Noyan Tapan). On December 15, the
"World in Children's Eyes" exhibition of photographs of the
pupils of "Manana" children's and youth educational and cultural
center was opened in the Center of Innovation Experimental Art.
4 films entitled "World Suitable for Children" were also shown.
They were shot with the assistance of UNICEF. The films were
dedicated to the international day of children's communication
(the second Sunday of December).
The photographs such as "No to Terrorism," "Witness of
Time," "Erivan" and others revealed the cildren's feelings. "It
often seems to grown-ups that children see the world only in
pink colors while these photographs show that children see all
the points hurting the world," Ruzanna Baghdasarian, Director of
"Manana" center said.
The "Place under the Sun" photograph of one of the pupils
of the center, 14-year-old Mushegh Baghdasarian, representing an
Armenian woman holding the 3-color flag above her head won the
grand prix on the "Democracy and Power" nomination in the
November 8 PhotoShare international distribution of prizes for
photograph works held in US. And his "Invasion" film received
the prize set up for the best children's film at the Chicago
International Film Festival.
The center has a 10-year history and more than 100 pupils
engaged in photography, cinematography, performances,
handicrafts and so on. The pupils of the center won all, first,
second, third and fourth prizes on the "Short Film" nomination
at the Second International Children's and Youth Video Film
Festival finished on November 9 in Minsk.
