YEREVAN, DECEMBER 26, NOYAN TAPAN. 2005 was a very efficient year for the system of RA education. RA Minister of Education and Science Sergo Yeritsian informed about it at the December 26 press conference. According to him, the reforms for the coming 10 years are obvious in all parts of the system. According to S.Yeritsian, the Ministry's most important task in 2006 will be to work out a new code regarding the sphere. The Minister mentioned that in the respect of reforms much and large-scale work has been done at comprehensive schools. A tender of creation of new Armenian Language and Literature text-books has been already announced. 11 thousand teachers of Mathematics and Armenian Literature will pass retraining in 2006. The network of teachers' retraining will be also extended in the coming schoolyear. According to S.Yeritsian, considerable work has been done in the pre-school and vocational education spheres. He mentioned that "non-operating institutions of the sphere are gradually relaunched". At the same time, S.Yeritsian said that reforms in the higher education sphere proceed rather slowly.
