YEREVAN, DECEMBER 26, NOYAN TAPAN. 56 chess-players took part in the Men's Championship of Armenian Chess-player Central House after Tigran Petrosian. The championship was held according to Swiss contest rules, it consisted of 9 tours. 3 chess-players, Zaven Andreasian, Gevorg Haroutiunian and Arman Hayrapetian gained 7 points each and shared the 1-3 places. 16-year-old international grand master Zaven Andreasian had higher tournament coefficients, so, he took the first place and became the champion. G.Haroutiunian took the second place and A.Hayrapetian the third place. The championship had also a selective character: the chess-players that took the first ten places received the right to perform in the tournament of first group of 2006 Armenian Championship.
