YEREVAN, DECEMBER 9, NOYAN TAPAN. There is not virus of influenza and hard respiratory virus infectious diseases in Armenia at present. The Noyan Tapan correspondent was informed about this by Lianna Torosian, the Chief Specialist of the Infectious and Non Infections Diseases Epidemic Department of the State Hygienic and Anti-Epidemic Department of the RA Ministry of Health Care. She mentioned that all necessary events addressed to prevention of the disease, including weekly monitoring, are implemented. According to the last data of the monitoring, 3490 cases of influenza were fixed in the republic during the fist week of December, 2100 of which among children up to 14. L.Torosian mentioned that 3450 cases were fixed during the same period of 2004, 1600 of which are among children. It was also mentioned that free preventing vaccinations in risk groups, including elementary grades of schools, are envisaged to start from the next week.
