YEREVAN, September 10 (Noyan Tapan). On September 14-19,
the "Armmono" second international theatrical festival will take
place in Yerevan. Hakob Ghazanchian, the Artistic Director of
Yerevan Young Spectator's Theatre, mentioned at the September
10 press conference that the program of the festival is rather
rich, 29 performances will be shown during 6 days.
Actors from 13 countries will arrive in Yerevan for the
purpose of taking part in the festival. According to
Y.Ghazanchian, this year there are no limitations for Armenian
actors' participation, all the actors who want have an
opportunity of participating in the festival. It was mentioned
that "Armmono" opens wide perspectives for Armenian actors for
entering the international scene.
Y.Ghazanchian also said that starting from 2005 the
festival will be renamed Shakespeare International Theatrical
Festival of Monoperformances. According to him, owing to this
the number of participants will considerably decrease, but the
quality will improve.
