Memorandum of Understanding signed between VivaCell-MTS and Kentron Administrative District of Yerevan

July 24, 2012, Yerevan, Armenia – VivaCell-MTS, a subsidiary of “Mobile TeleSystems” OJSC, and Kentron Administrative District of Yerevan announce the beginning of cooperation. Today VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian and the Head of the Kentron Administrative District of Yerevan Ara Sadoyan signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The Memorandum of Understanding outlines the spheres of cooperation between Armenia’s Leading Telecommunications Operator and the Administrative District for the year 2012. In particular, organizations will implement joint projects in the spheres of public education and culture. The cooperation is aimed at the development of the center of Yerevan city. Kenton Administrative District is both the cultural and business center of Yerevan. The majority of cultural, administrative and educational institutions of Yerevan are located in the center of the city. The center of Yerevan is one of the most important reference points of visitors in Armenia as well as Armenians, and a venue for different conferences, cultural and state-national celebrations, open door concerts and exhibitions. In this context, the need for supporting projects aimed at the development of the city cannot be overestimated, and as a responsible corporate citizen, VivaCell-MTS cannot stay apart but to agree to extend hands to support Kentron Administrative District. “The center of the capital is a national value belonging to each and every Armenian. We have to cherish it as much as possible. The center of the city is the place wherefrom the guests of the city can form impression of the whole Nation, observe the architectural ensembles of the capital, as well as the level of the country’s development. The center of the capital is the place where one can see the marks that shape the historical and social development of the city, and Armenia at large”, VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian told. “VivaCell-MTS’ care towards our capital, especially the Kentron Administrative District, is much appreciated. I am confident that the results of our partnership will be visible in the near future. The projects and activities implemented jointly will help visitors to receive more complete and impressive information about our city. Not by chance it is said, that the Kentron Administrative District is the heart of Yerevan”, said the head of the Kentron Administrative District Ara Sadoyan.
