On 27 May Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan received a group members of the French National Assembly and Senate who arrived Artsakh the other day.

President Sahakyan characterized relationships with France as one of the most important directions of NKR’s foreign policy, stressing the need to maintain and deepen strong ties between the parliaments of the two countries. Within this context the President considered important the establishment of France-Artsakh friendship circle, adding that he has much expectations of its work.

A number of issues related domestic and foreign policy of Artsakh, regional trends and the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict settlement were also touched upon during the meeting.

Speaker of the NKR National Assembly Ashot Ghoulyan and other officials were present at the meeting.
