On 27 November President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan partook in a reception held on behalf of primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Hovnan Derderyan.
In his speech the Head of the State expressed gratitude to the Western Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church for its patriotic activity adding that the Church was an integral part of our national identity, one of the foundations of our statehood, which had played an inestimable role in the Armenian history.
President Sahakyan underlined that discussing issues of national importance with the participation of the Church put special responsibility to carry out the planned activities on the appropriate level.
