After a thorough renovation, the only kindergarten of the contiguous Aygehovit village opened its gates. The repairing was implemented with the assistance of Help for Armenia Swiss charity foundation.
According to the Swiss Help for Armenia charity foundation trustees’ board member, the head of AZAD Group, benefactor Mike Baronian this charity foundation was founded in 1988 for providing financial assistance to Armenia after disastrous earthquake took place in Spitak.

As Mike Baronian mentioned, at first the charity foundation mainly supported orphanages and kindergartens.  The kindergarten and ambulatory of Proshyan village, the hospital of Arabkir district have been reconstructed within the framework of the Swiss Help for Armenia charity foundation projects. Two years ago the renovation of Aygehovit’s kindergarten launched and finished this year. In honor of the foundation’s president Norbert Neininger the kindergarten was named after his name. The opening ceremony was attended by charity foundation trustees’ board members, benefactors Pino Ciaccio, Martin and Jessica Bloomer, the head of Aygehovit’s community and many residents.
The head of Aygehovit’s community Levon Grigoryan informed that the kindergarten was founded in 1970 and during these years despite being in very poor conditions it has never stopped functioning.
Now two-storey, newly renovated kindergarten has been equipped with modern technical equipments and furniture, fully supplied with gas, has hot and cold water and also garden and the playground of the kindergarten have been reconstructed.   As Help for Armenia charity foundation trustees’ board member Pino Ciaccio informed, in 1988 he had the good fortune to visit Armenia as a professional journalist and since then nearly every year he visits to Armenia.
“First time when I came to Armenia, I did not know yet what is Armenia, who are Armenians but after staying here nearly three days I realized that the people, living here, are good Christians who are in need and whose we should definitely help”,- emphasized Pino Ciaccio
Nearly five years he is living in Switzerland, but as Pino Ciaccio said half of him is Armenian.
The benefactor Martin Bloomer informed, that he with his wife started to deal with charity over the last few years.
Every year the Swiss family organizes charity dinners and all the collected proceeds they send to Armenia for participating in various assistance programs.
Benefactors assure that Help for Armenia foundation will continue to help Armenians and as the water-supply infrastructure in Aygehovit is badly dilapidated, in the nearest future they are planning to provide round-the-clock water supply to the village.
