Mher Sahakyan, president of the Armenian community of China, received a doctoral degree from Nanjing University.
The Examination Committee announced, that “Mher Sahakyan, having fulfilled all required courses of the University and having satisfied the examiners, is awarded doctoral degree in International Relations.”
Dr. Mher Sahakyan is a specialist in the field of international relations, focusing his research on international security issues and political developments in the Middle East and the Far East. He has published academic articles at the leading educational centers of China, Russia and Armenia.
On March 6, 2016, the Armenian Community of China, commonly known as ChinaHay, elected Mher Sahakyan as its new President.Nanjing University is one of the top 5 universities in China, and also one of the first to receive foreign students. It has hosted more than 10,000 international scholars and students from over 70 countries to date. Its graduates have gone on to become prominent politicians, businessmen and scholars, among others.
