According to the Dutch News Agency ANP, ûn Sunday about five hundred people attended the commemoration of the Armenian Genocide in Assen. A spokesperson of the Federation of Armenian Organisations in The Netherlands (FAON) reported. The annual commemoration, which coincided this year for the first time with the Easter Sunday, took place at the Armenian Genocide Memorial at the cemetery De Boskamp in Assen. That included among others a religious service, speeches, music and laying of wreaths. Armenians commemorate each year the Genocide of 1915. Last Tuesday there were a Rally and Demonstration in Het Plein in The Hague and a Remembrance Concert.
