Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the Yerevan Botanical Garden, where he became acquainted with the progress of the construction works of the "Park of Life." He was accompanied by the Head of the Prime Minister's Office Arayik Harutyunyan, Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Armen Pambukhchyan, and other officials:

 

During the tour, it was presented to the Prime Minister that the park is being built on an area of about 50 hectares. The pathways and bike lanes have already been constructed, and the cascading stair platforms are being renovated. The total area of the pathways is about 30 thousand square meters. Bike lanes are being constructed adjacent to the pathways, with a total length of about 3.5 km. It is planned to plant about 16 thousand trees and shrubs and to construct an artificial pond. A new irrigation system of 20 km is being installed, and a pumping station is being built, which will ensure the care of not only the "Park of Life" but also the entire garden's vegetation. The external lighting is also being modernized. A new lighting network has been installed in all pathways, consisting of 350 park support columns.

 

As part of the ongoing works, the sidewalk adjacent to the Tsarav Aghbyur Street has also been renovated, covering about 900 meters. A parking lot is planned near the main entrance, designed for 280 vehicles. A small parking lot is also planned for persons with disabilities. The former main entrance is being renovated. For the construction works of the "Park of Life," 5 billion 26 million drams have been allocated from the state budget.

 

During the tour, some issues related to the construction works and the project were recorded. The Prime Minister instructed the responsible parties to pay special attention to the quality of the construction works and to make necessary corrections, including in the design, and to present it for discussion in the near future.
