YEREVAN, JUNE 5, NOYAN TAPAN. The aim of adopting the law
on consumer crediting is to protect the rights of citizens who
received credits. The deputy chairman of the Central Bank of
Armenia (CBA) Arthur Javadian told reporters following the June
5 sitting of the government that at the sitting the government
approved the bill on consumer crediting, which gives additional
rights to consumers, indluding the rights to repay the credit
ahead of time and to renounce the agreement on crediting.
A. Javadian said that the bill on bank deposits aims to
protect consumers' rights in the financial sphere and establish
the united rules on attraction of citizens' money. In his words,
the purpose of the bill is to provide consumers with such
information that will allow them to compare the conditions of
deposit attraction by various banks and to make a reasonable
choice.
